So, 2017 marks my first year as a part timer.  I’ve worked full time since I was 18 years old – so for just over 20 (OMG 20!) years.  You see, I decided that to maximise my passion hunting, I needed a day off a week to laze around the house in my PJs watching Jeremy Kyle really focus on my inner creative as I think it’s buried pretty deep right now.  It’s not the done thing being a creative Accountant you see.  Lol!

So today is technically my first official day off.  Whoop!  And I have to say, I feel like I’m kinda winning at this part time malarkey already.  I mean, ignoring the fact that I didn’t get out of my PJs until 1pm and had cake for breakfast, I was out of bed before 9am, have managed to resist the mountain of post Christmas chocolate literally shouting EAT ME, and have actually taken some photos!  Which is an achievement as, following the “big blog launch” last week, where I spent most of the day hiding behind a cushion, surfacing only to have a good old weep at the proper nice comments and messages people took the time to send me, I have been fretting.

Majorly.

About what to write.

About who would possibly be interested in what I have to say.

About what photos to take.

About what and when I should post on my Facebook and Instagram pages.

Basically, I’ve been fretting about Every.  Frigging.  Thing!  Urgh!

So, the fact that today I have done a few more modules of my online photography course and taken some photos is progress, people.   And blow me, I’m actually quite chuffed with the results.  Who knew what could be created with a £3 bunch of roses from Aldi and some wallpaper offcuts!  Feeling rather accomplished.  Although, despite normally sleeping 23.5 hours of the day, my cats (not me!  Although I’m sure I could rise to the challenge) also decided to get in on the action, sitting on my laptop whilst I was trying to edit said photos and leaping (and missing) my little work station table, causing ripped wallpaper and rose petals galore!  Just one of the joys of being a crazy cat lady I guess.

So, all in all, a good day.  I may even get to squeeze an ep of Jeremy in too if I’m lucky.  Until next week, amigos (cue lots more fretting of what the hell I’m going to write about).

Photographs I actually took. With the help of my cat, obvs!
